Initial proposals exchanged
Your negotiating team met with the employer on October 7 and 8 to begin bargaining for a new collective agreement. Thanks to your responses to the bargaining survey, we were well prepared to put forward proposals that address the concerns you brought forward. You can find our full ingoing proposal here, but highlights include:
- Two-year agreement
- April 1, 2024 – 25% wage increase
- April 1, 2025 – 10% wage increase
- Increases to shift and weekend premiums and addition of new premiums
- Additional vacation and recognition days
- Increases to on call and call back pay
- Increase to boot allowance
St. Therese also took the opportunity to share their concerns. You can find their full ingoing proposal here, but highlights include:
- Four-year agreement
- Date of ratification – 2% wage increase
- April 1, 2025 – 2% wage increase
- April 1, 2026 – 1.75% wage increase
- April 1, 2027 – 1.75% wage increase
Six articles and one letter of understanding brought forward were not changed by either party, however, your negotiating team is currently reviewing them.
