On July 4, your negotiating team signed a tentative agreement with the employer. It has taken three long years of tough negotiations to arrive at an agreement which the negotiating team unanimously endorses.
For months we have been close to reaching an agreement, and in these last rounds we were able to resolve the few key issues which remained outstanding.
Throughout the process, Carewest continually tabled offers that fell short of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) monetary wage percentage increases and Covid pay supplement. The negotiating team is very pleased to report that we have achieved the AHS percentage increase pattern.
Thank you to our members for your patience and support through this rigorous set of negotiations.
More details on the tentative agreement will be available at the ratification meeting.
A virtual ratification process with electronic balloting is currently being set up. The date of ratification will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
