After three years of challenging negotiations, your negotiating team signed a tentative agreement with the employer on July 4. Throughout the process, Carewest held up negotiations by putting forward offers that did not address our concerns and repeatedly fell short of the Alberta Health Services (AHS) monetary wage percentage increases and Covid pay supplement.
Happily, at the end of this long process, we have arrived at an agreement that achieves the AHS percentage increase pattern and is unanimously endorsed by the negotiating team.
Our sincerest gratitude to our members for your patience and support throughout this tough set of negotiations.
More details on the tentative agreement will be available at the ratification meeting.
A virtual ratification process with electronic balloting is currently being set up. The date of ratification will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
