PWL says no to informal mediation offer
Your negotiating team met with PWL Drayton Valley on Jan. 27 to continue bargaining.
We had productive discussions and are making good progress with the employer. We feel we are starting to make headway with Points West Living.
Unfortunately, we are still debating some of our key issues including weekend premiums, the health spending account, hours of work, and the date the next agreement will expire.
We offered informal mediation to help resolve these issues. The employer has refused our mediation offer and suggested a return to negotiations. But it is clear we are at impasse on several issues and need third-party assistance from the Alberta Labour Relations Board.
Red is your colour
AUPE members wear red to show our solidarity! Wearing red shows the employer that we are united and support our negotiating team getting the collective agreement we deserve. Take photos of you and your coworkers wearing red and email them to photos@aupe.org to be shared on social media.
