It’s been a long road, but we are finally nearing the end of our journey toward securing a collective agreement.
Before we dive into the details, your negotiating team wants to clarify one key point: We did not endorse the joint statement recently issued. It was shared without our agreement.
The issue of our collective agreement is now before an arbitrator, who will issue a binding decision in the coming weeks. This ruling will determine our wages and working conditions.
We believe the outcome will reflect much of what we presented during our April 11 meeting, though we are mindful that the final decision rests with the arbitrator.
Throughout this process, both parties have been working to find agreement. While the final result may not include everything we hoped for, this is an important step forward. After a long and determined effort, we are finally close to achieving compensation that better reflects the value of your work.
Your negotiating committee has shown unwavering commitment every step of the way. We are proud of the progress made and grateful for the trust you placed in us to represent your interests. We will return to the table in 18 months ready to keep building on this momentum.
