Your negotiating team is scheduled for mediation with the employer on May 27, 2024. We are meeting with an independent mediator to help resolve a significant disagreement between the employer and your team.
Initially, we believed it was clear we would use the Golden Sands - Lac La Biche worksite’s collective agreement as the blueprint for our new agreement. However, the employer now firmly disagrees with this, which led us to seek mediation.
Thank you for your patience throughout this process. We have worked hard on securing our new collective agreement and are hopeful for a favourable outcome in mediation. Thank you again for your support and solidarity throughout bargaining.
We will send a new update as soon as we receive direction from the mediator.
