Your negotiating team met with Covenant Health on November 14 and 15. We focused on several Letters of Understanding (LOUs) and are happy to report that our conversations were respectful and productive.
Key topics included benefits for eligible casual staff as well as improvements to our working relationship with the employer. Covenant Health also shared data on how often they use the Optional Consequential Vacancy process, which we will review.
Next bargaining meetings – February
Our next meetings are scheduled for February 6 and 7. Keep wearing red to support bargaining and email your selfies to photos@aupe.org so we can share the solidarity on social media.
Your negotiating team sincerely appreciates your support and solidarity. When you wear red, you are not just supporting us, you’re supporting yourself and all your coworkers!
Want to do more than just wear red? There is a lot to prepare for if we are forced to go on strike. Please contact a member of your negotiating team if you want to get involved or if you have any questions.
