Your team met with the employer on May 15 to continue bargaining, but we made almost no progress.
We are shocked by the employer’s behaviour. Covenant Health is aggressive and disrespectful to all of us at the bargaining table.
It is clear they are not interested in finding solutions to the issues we brought forward. They are not interested in improving our working conditions.
We are not backing down. Your team demanded the employer come to the table ready to discuss monetary proposals at our next bargaining dates on June 3 and 4, 2024. If they refuse to address other issues, your team is prepared to discuss the wage increases and other monetary improvements we deserve.

AUPE’s Time for Action bargaining town halls are happening throughout June and all members are invited. Please visit the town hall website for details on the town hall nearest you.
You will also receive email invitations, shareable posters, and timely reminders to ensure everyone has the chance to attend. All AUPE members are encouraged to join these urgent town halls.
