Members brought the energy and excitement at our Rally for Respect, and their passion carried over into the second day of AUPE’s 47th annual Convention. Delegates were engaged and ready to make essential decisions on behalf of the members they represent.
Delegates spent the majority of Day 2 debating our union’s future, most of which centred on our financial readiness to take action, including passing the 2024/2025 budget.
Delegates also heard and approved the Legislative Committee’s report and discussed Constitutional Resolutions.
We concluded Day 2 by honouring new Life Members. Life Membership is the highest honour the union can bestow. All Life Membership recipients have demonstrated the highest level of commitment and service to the union through their actions and their solidarity.
