In what has become one of Canada’s largest general strikes, PSAC members can rely on AUPE to stand shoulder to shoulder with them as they would stand with us.
More than 155,000 PSAC members working for Treasury Board and the Canada Revenue Agency took strike action to fight for their rights. PSAC members have been without a contract since negotiations with the federal government began in June 2021.
They are sending a strong message to the government and taking a stand for all workers, setting a standard for fair compensation in a time of record high inflation. AUPE is echoing their message and standing in solidarity with workers fighting for their rights and improved working conditions.
Like AUPE members, PSAC members work tirelessly to serve the public and deserve to be compensated fairly for their efforts. We encourage AUPE members to support their brothers and sisters by joining them on the picket line during non-work hours* and refusing to do struck work.
