Negotiations continue – next meetings are Oct. 27
Your team met with the employer on October 21 and 22 to continue negotiations.
We dedicated even more time to talk about Health and Safety in the workplace. The daily violence and abuse our members face is unacceptable, and we want to see some serious protections enshrined in our next collective agreement.
We also continued discussions on two issues that are important to members:
Discipline and Dismissal: We want to ensure members know why they are called into meetings with their employer.
Reclassification: We want the reclassification process to be explained in the new collective agreement, which would let members know how to file a reclassification appeal if you believe you are incorrectly classified.
Our next bargaining meeting is scheduled for October 27. We have requested additional bargaining dates because we know how important it is for all members that we make progress towards a new collective agreement.
