Alberta Health Services filed an application with the Labour Board in response to the events of Friday, June 14, 2019 in Wetaskiwin.
The Labour Board found that this action counts as an illegal strike under the Labour Relations Code.
No penalties or fines are being issued, and this matter is concluded and the file is closed.
The Board's findings and directives also made clear that "Employees are entitled to engage in informational picketing on non-work time, such as lunch breaks, but not during their regular work time".
