Our work continues following the nonratification
As you know, following a vote in December, members voted to reject a tentative agreement. We know that you need more from a collective agreement than what was offered, and your negotiations team will continue to put pressure on the employer to meet those expectations.
January saw the beginning of a widespread outreach process where your negotiations team spoke to you to hear your concerns – your voices matter and they wanted to hear them all. You answered phone calls, you completed the survey, and you gave your team the information we need to return to the employer and call for an improved agreement.
Thank you for your invaluable input and guidance on what you need from a collective agreement to move forward. We know how far you are willing to go and what you are willing to do, and your negotiations team is ready to take that journey with you to make sure the employer listens.
But the fight isn’t over yet and now is not the time to go silent. Your negotiations team and your co-workers need you to stay involved and keep speaking out to ensure we reach your goals.
Your negotiations team strongly encourages you to join a meeting on April 10 at 3:00 PM to receive the results of the survey and to hear more about the revised proposedagreement that will be put forward to the employer. Your negotiations team wants to ensure that you have a detailed understanding of how we will move forward and continue to demand more from the employer.
