Your negotiating team met with the employer on April 14 to continue bargaining.
We got a big win with the employer signing off on our proposed language for overpayments and underpayments. The employer now has six months to recover overpayments from staff while following guidelines for repayment. Staff will be reimbursed for any underpayments on their next paycheque.
We continued to advocate for changes to performance reviews. We believe that reviews should be conducted by out-of-scope supervisors and not by our fellow members. The employer has not agreed, and we will hear their response at our next meeting.
