As reported to you previously, on February 16 the members of Local 047, Chapter 063 voted to ratify their first collective agreement with AUPE. The agreement was ratified by the employer on February 28, 2024.

Congratulations to the approximately 160 members of Local 047, Chapter 063. We are now working with the SPAN to finalize collective agreement and make it available to members. Once it is finalized, members may download a copy of the full collective agreement from the Local 047 homepage, while logged into MyAUPE. For now, you can also view a draft copy of the agreement from our previous bargaining update

The new collective agreement includes retroactive pay for eligible employees who left their jobs prior to ratification (Article 20.06). To receive this benefit, members must submit a written request to Violeta Montandon (vmontandon@spanet.ab.ca) within 30 days of the ratification date. This request should include the member’s name, current address and whether they prefer the cheque to be mailed or picked-up in person.

Retroactive pay will be issued by the employer over 3 periods: March 15, April 10, and May 10.

This collective agreement contains a number of changes to the way your workplace operates, in addition to the monetary improvements. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with your collective agreement, and if you have any questions or if you believe the collective agreement is not being followed, please contact your Membership Services Officer or the Member Resource Centre at 1-800-232-7284
