Silverado Creek: This is your chance to influence bargaining

Update for Local 048 Chapter 054, Silverado Creek

Jan 30, 2023

Please take this important survey on negotiating priorities

Text only block

We know you have wanted to have a voice at your workplace for a long time. That time has now come.

As we head into bargaining our first collective agreement with your employer, Silverado Creek, your negotiating team needs to hear from you.

What are your priorities? Are you looking for better wages, more hours of work, better benefits, changes in overtime policy? Which workplace issues mean the most to you?

To get a fair contract that works for you, we need to hear your opinions. That’s why it’s important to have as many members as possible complete and submit this online survey.

This is your chance to get involved in improving your working conditions. Before joining AUPE, each of you had only one, small voice when talking to your employer. Now that you have joined together in AUPE, we can send a stronger, unified message.

The survey will close on Tuesday Feb. 6. Your negotiating team will immediately begin analysing the results to create proposals that will be presented to Silverado. No dates have been set for our first bargaining meetings with the employer, but we hope to begin soon.

We will keep you informed.

If you have any questions, please contact a member of your negotiating team.

Fill out the survey here.
