The AUPE Women’s Committee 20th annual Grandparents Day BBQ!
When: Wednesday, Sept. 6, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Where: Legislature Grounds – beside the bandshell
This is a free, public event to honour all grandparents, seniors and their support systems.
For 20 years, AUPE members all across the province have come together on this special day to bring people together to honour our friends, family members and neighbours ages 65 and over.
“This milestone also represents more than two decades of advocacy by AUPE for better care standards and delivery of services for seniors in our province,” says AUPE Vice President Sandra Azocar and Women’s Committee chair.
“Grandparents Day is a great opportunity to keep pushing for more support for Alberta workers and for the residents that rely on their care. Working conditions are care conditions!”
