We are hearing that some members are feeling pressured to sign off on their new job descriptions by a certain date. We wanted to let you know that you are under no obligation to do so.
It has been confirmed between an AUPE Director of Labour Relations and a representative of the Public Service Commission that there will be no disciplinary action taken against you whether you sign off, sign it acknowledging that you’ve read it but don’t necessarily agree with it, or choose not to sign it all.
Members are encouraged to contact their Membership Services Officer at 1-800-232-7284 if you feel your supervisor is suggesting/threatening otherwise.
