Your negotiating team has secured the $2 top-up.
In our last update, we said we had filed a complaint with the Labour Board because Whitehorn did not agree with the $2 top-up we had settled on. That issue is now resolved. We are glad we secured the $2 top-up quickly, without getting caught in a long litigation process.
$2 will be permanently added to the Health Care Aide pay grid as of January 1, 2024. You will also receive the $2 for each hour you have worked since January 1 in the form of retroactive pay.
The new hourly wage for HCAs will be $26.87.
