No time to rest - work to start soon on next contract
AUPE members employed by Living Waters Catholic Schools have voted overwhelmingly to ratify the tentative agreement presented to them last week.
Highlights of the deal include:
- 1.25% raise in 2023;
- 1.5% raise in 2024; and
- Changes to personal leave allowing for part days to be taken and for carryover of up to one day.
The deal is expected to be ratified by the employer soon.
Your negotiating team would like to thank AUPE members at Living Waters for their support during this challenging round of bargaining.
The negotiating committee cannot get a collective agreement without the support of members.
You submitted bargaining surveys before talks with the employer begin, you stayed informed as talks progressed, you showed support for your negotiating team and you voted when the tentative agreement was sent to you.
There is, however, little time to rest. The new deal is due to expire at the end of August, so work will have to start on the next round soon.
