Employer wants rollbacks, so we need to push back
Carewest continues to seek rollbacks for nursing-care members at the bargaining table – and that means it’s time to push back.
There are a number of ways to do that. To secure a strong contract we need to take part in the following activities to send a message to the employer that we are united, we are strong and we deserve a fair contract.
All nursing-care members are encouraged to take part in the following activities. General Support Staff (GSS) members are welcome to join to show solidarity.
The more people who take part, the more strength we have to fight for a better collective agreement.
The following solidarity actions will take place at all Carewest sites:
- Mondays: Wear your “I support my bargaining committee” button.
- Wednesdays: Wear your red ribbon.
- Fridays: Wear red to work.
An information picket and rally has been planned at the Carewest Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre.
