The employer will respond to our proposal on July 25
Your negotiating team wanted to send you a quick update now that mediation talks are underway.
We met with the mediator on July 10, where your union and the employer exchanged proposals. The day ended after we presented a package to the employer, who will respond to our proposal on July 25.
We are hopeful the Good Samaritan Society understands the need to conclude these negotiations as soon as possible – given how important it is to the recruitment and retention of employees and ultimately resident care.
We will send you another bargaining update after our next meetings with the mediator, which are scheduled for July 25 and 26.
