We're getting ready to negotiate a new collective agreement with your employer – but we need you!
Your negotiating team met on Sept. 5 to train for bargaining, review previous bargaining surveys, and schedule important steps members need to take during the bargaining process.
Key dates and how you can prepare
Oct. 21: Bargaining survey will arrive in your email inbox
If you do not receive the link to the bargaining survey, please contact a member of your negotiating team.
Members can also check myAUPE at aupe.org to make sure your email address is up to date.
If you have unsubscribed from AUPE emails in the past, you will need to resubscribe.
It’s crucial that everyone completes the survey—the proposals we make will be based on what issues are important to you like wages, benefits, and working conditions. The more feedback we get the more power we have at the bargaining table.
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, Nov. 1.
Nov. 13: Your negotiating team will review the bargaining survey results and the current collective agreement.
We will create our non-monetary proposals based on your survey answers. These proposals will outline our demands and will set out our expectations for members.
Nov. 20: Negotiations begin with your employer Evanston Grand Village
You can support your negotiating team at the bargaining table by wearing red to show the boss we are united in our fight! If you have photos of you and your coworkers wearing red, send them to photos@aupe.org and we’ll share them on AUPE social media like Facebook, Instagram and X.
