Text only block

We agreed on a number of non-monetary improvements to your agreement, including:

• Access to sick leave and benefits for temporary staff who are hired for 9 months or more;

• Temporary staff can also have their previous service recognized if they return to employment within 12 months and wouldn’t have to start over as new probationary employees;

• A new Article addressing Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment, and Workplace Violence;

• A new union orientation which will be conducted by your elected AUPE representatives.

Next Steps

There’s still a lot of work to do. We will meet again with the employer on June 13, 14, 26, and 27.

Remember, we can only make improvements with your support. It’s important that we all stick together!

Your bargaining committee will keep you informed by putting out bargaining updates on the union bulletin boards and by email after each round of bargaining. If you have questions, please come directly to your committee.

Your bargaining committee is dedicated to keeping you informed throughout the entire negotiations process. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of your committee or AUPE resource staff with any questions, comments or concerns you may have.
