As you know, one of the main sticking points at the table has been Job Security language and contracting out protections. We’ve told the employer we need these provisions to support Edmontonians in need of affordable housing.
CRHC has continued to dismiss our job security concerns, and today they showed a complete disrespect for you by withdrawing their wage increase proposals of 1% in 2019, and 2% in 2020 and 2021.
They replaced their offer with this:
2019: 0% increases
2020: 0% increases
2021: wage reopener
CRHC has been difficult throughout bargaining.
Your bargaining team is looking into the next steps we can take to move forward and get the fair collective agreement you deserve.
