Nursing care and GSS member jobs protected until Sept. 1

AUPE members employed in nursing care and general support services by Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Lamont Health Care Centre have had job security extended until Sept. 1 in an agreement reached today between the union and employer.
In response to the circumstances related to COVID-19 and the associated pandemic planning, the Letter of Understanding that protects jobs has been extended. Bargaining for new collective agreements has also been suspended until Sept. 1.
