Government Services

Government operating expenses are budgeted to grow by 3% in 2018-19, well below the 3.5% rate of population growth plus inflation. Staffing levels across the public service are expected to remain relatively stagnant, with the exception of some notable Full Time Equivalents (FTE) increases in Children’s Services, Community and Social Services and Justice and Solicitor General.
