AHS NC members tell AHS it’s time to get back to the table
As you know, Alberta Health Services (AHS) approached your negotiating team last week and proposed we extend the existing Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) until June 30, 2021. We have rejected AHS's offer and told them that we want to get back to the bargaining table.
Your negotiating team reluctantly agreed to this MOA in January because it gave us job security, access to COVID-19 isolation pay, paid time off for COVID-19 vaccine appointments during work hours, and other benefits in exchange for suspending bargaining until March 31, 2021.
Get ready to fight back
We are strong. We have the public on our side. We are organizing our worksites one by one. We need our members to prepare for the fight ahead and we need the employer to get back to the table and get down to bargaining. Now.
If you have any questions, please contact a member of your negotiating team. And always remember, we are stronger together. And, when we fight, we win!
