EDMONTON – A majority of Alberta Union of Provincial Employees members working for Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis have rejected the tentative agreement that was put before them.
AUPE Vice President Bonnie Gostola says that although the negotiating team had recommended acceptance of the offer, members always have the final say.
“The members did not feel that this tentative agreement addressed their needs and they voted accordingly,” says Gostola. “The negotiating team is going back to the membership for direction as they prepare to head into informal mediation with the employer.”
