As bargaining continues for our next collective agreement with Strathcona County, your negotiating team is working to make sure that we reflect your priorities at the bargaining table.

Following your rejection of the tentative agreement in January, your negotiating team promised to reach out to all of our co-workers to get a grasp on what you want to see out of a new agreement. As part of that process, we’re now committing to hold a live meeting over Zoom on the third Sunday of every month, except in the case of holiday weekends.

The next meeting will take place on Sunday, May 15, at 3:00p.m.  You can join the meeting by clicking this link at the time the meeting starts:

You can also open the Zoom app and use the following meeting details:
Meeting ID: 899 3093 1314
Passcode: 996130

We encourage all of our co-workers to attend and participate! Getting a fair collective agreement is a collective task, and we need to hear from you in order to get there.

These meetings are a place where we can democratically share ideas, priorities, and strategies. What are we unwilling to compromise on? How do we plan to build the unity and solidarity that we need to win?

It’s also a place where, if you have specific questions, you can ask them directly of the negotiating team. We want this process to be participative and democratic. Come have your say!
