AUPE and the Canadian Labour International Film Festival (CLIFF) are hosting two FREE online movies nights for AUPE members! Join us for two exciting nights of cinema centred on the labour movement.

Friday October 16 at 7:00 pm

SERF (5 minute short film)
A little robot is stuck in a factory until he discovers the world outside...

Company Town (52 minutes)
Vehicle assembly workers at General Motors were struggling, and things got worse when the company announced it was shutting its plant in Oshawa, Ontario. The workers stood together in solidarity to fight to save the plant.

Animal Calling (6 minutes)
A look inside the mental health crisis impacting animal care workers.

Forty Thousand a Month (9 minutes)
An Indian father has a hectic job, and a daughter who just wants to spend time with her dad.

Filadelphia (7 minutes)
16 Brazilian women work in a recycling materials co-operative. But for some reason, no men work with them…

Main Event

Birth of a Union (20 minutes)
This documentary tells the story of low wage workers in North Carolina who organize to join a union, even though doing so is illegal.
