Three bargaining meetings held and more upcoming
We’d like to begin by thanking all the members that joined us at our meeting this past Sunday. Your negotiating team truly appreciates your support, solidarity, and feedback as we work to achieve the fair and improved contract we all deserve.
Following our meeting, we met with the employer on August 8, 9, and 10 to continue bargaining. We were able to address outstanding issues, with multiple packages of proposals passing back and forth between your negotiating team and the employer.
We are pleased to report that we are now much closer to reaching an agreement. Though we were unable to finalize an agreement in this past round of bargaining, we are waiting for the employer to share their availability for further bargaining dates. We are anticipating a quick resolution to outstanding items and will share another update once we’ve confirmed the next round of bargaining.
