In-person ratification vote to be held September 11, 2023
Your negotiating team met with the employer on August 17 and 19th and are pleased to report that we have reached a tentative agreement, the highlights of which are as follows:
- 3-year deal - June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2026
- Year one, wage increase of 3%.
- Year two, wage increase of 2%.
- Year three, wage increase of 2%
- $50 dollar increase to the health/personal spending account for Full-time employees from $950 to $1000
- All part-time employees regardless of FTE will receive $1000 health/personal spending account ($100 - $400 increase depending on FTE)
- An increase of .25 cents to the evening shift differential to $2.35 per hour effective the date of ratification
- An increase of .25 cents to the night shift differential to $3.35 per hour effective the date of ratification
- An increase of .25 cents to the weekend premium to $2.85 per hour effective the date of ratification
- Increase to sick leave carryover of 25 days from 60 to 85
- 3 bereavement days for aunt/uncle niece/nephew
- New language enabling carryover of five vacation days
- New language allowing the banking of statutory holiday for the year (if unused paid out last pay period in December)
- There are also other minor non-monetary improvements.
Members will vote on the tentative agreement in person on September 11, 2023, in the Activities Room from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Your negotiating team is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement. The new agreement will be sent to you before the vote so you can ask any questions you might have prior to casting your vote.
