Alberta Innovates and Innotech: Progress on many articles

Bargaining update for Local 060, Alberta Innovates and Innotech

Apr 28, 2025

Text only block

Your negotiating team met the employer on April 22 to continue bargaining. We have not started negotiations for wages and benefits yet, but we made progress on several other articles.

We shared our position and had productive conversations on the following articles:

  • Article 9 - Time Off for Union Business

  • Article 20 - Call Back/Standby Pay

  • Article 22 - Paid Holidays

  • Article 31 - Respect in the Workplace

The employer tried to restrict our right to strike, but we refused to accept. They heard our concerns on their no strike/no lockout language and withdrew their proposal.
