Dear Members,
This past month on June 4, we passed the operating budget for the 2021-2022 year.
Provincial Executive and the Elected officials will have all of the Local Meetings concluded by the end of September to prepare for this year’s 2021 December Convention.
Beginning early July, we will begin to move our furniture into the New AUPE Headquarters. This will take a number of weeks as we move our items form the old space to the new HQ. This past year has been quite the whirlwind of ongoing meetings via Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet. We all hope that our members and staff have a wonderful July and August. My wish is that all of you find time for yourself, friends, and families as many people come together over the coming months.
My goal this summer is to enjoy spending more time with my grandparents in Sylvan Lake and to take in a few baseball games with my grandfather. One thing the pandemic has given me is a new respect for relationships with close friends, and family, and, most definitely, becoming engaged with my local community.
