Vice President Bobby-Joe Borodey was first elected in 2019 and re-elected to a second term in 2021.



On leave from her position as a Students Services Officer at Olds College, Borodey has been a proud member of Local 071/002 for 19 years. She began her union activism at a conference with the AUPE Young Activists committee and hasn't looked back, going on to serve as a shop steward, on her area council, local and chapter boards, and multiple terms on the Provincial Executive.



She believes in the power of organized, educated, and motivated members, and is passionate about working collectively towards real solutions to the problems workers face every day.

Vice President Borodey is Chair of AUPE’s Standing Committee on Human Rights.
